From learning to manage Black hair to comparing one's own hair to those seen on mainstream TV, the hair journey of a Black woman is almost always a tumultuous, complicated one. The HAIR UP HIGH collection shows love to the hairstyles that society deemed "unkept" and "unprofessional" for so long.

BANTU depicts a woman with bantu knots--an ancient southern African hairstyle. Similar to the other pieces in the HAIR UP HIGH collection, BANTU has bloomed flowers and a butterfly, which emphasizes the natural beauty of Black hair.
